Disused Railway Bridge, Caherciveen
County Kerry, Caherciveen, view across the water from the public park. Shows an old disused railway bridge between the mainland Co. Kerry and the island of Valentia. Valentia is where the original Atlantic cable was laid from, being the furtherst point west in Europe. Oil on canvas. Framed with simple modern waxed wood.
This was one of my first attempts at painting oils after 'getting serious' with painting. I have reworked the top part with the same brushstrokes as the foreground, the painting is now hugely improved.
Also available as open edition Giclée on canvas print with authentification for £250.

Oils on canvas. Framed to suit.
Painted from the park at Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, Ireland. I loved the way the bridge swept across the water and conflicted with the powerful forces of nature that had eventually won against man-made engineering.
NB: I may overpaint this so that the texture of brush strokes is more consistent. A gallery owner said that this would dramatically alter the price to £10K minimum!
