Aphrodite and her client
A visual comment on the trickery employed by the Cypriot property sellers. These crooks do not tell you that the deeds will not be yours on receipt of payment when buying a property. I almost lost my mind with worry that I would lose my UK home because I could not easily resell the flat. I had to employ an English lawyer with knowledge of Cypriot law to get me out of the mess. Thanks Jeanette!

This represents the theft from innocent property buyers in Cyprus, where property is sold without deeds, which are promised within the year, but are often held back by the unscrupulous seller for up to twenty years. The artist himself, bought a holiday let flat in Paphos and was later fraught with depression when he found that he was unable to sell in three years as planned and was threatened with the loss of his UK home because of a mortgage becoming due for repayment.
