Richard Waldron

 Richard started life after schooling at Pangbourne (Nautical) College in the 1950s. He joined Booth Line as an apprentice and became third navigation office on the South American and Amazon run. He took himself to Art College and then to work as a layout artist/copywriter. He worked in publishing at Hodder, IPC Magazines before starting his own practice which built to a design consultancy in partnership with others. He eventually gave up design practice and taught computer skills whilst also running the post graduate programme for east Surrey College. Always painting and drawing in his spare time, he now practices as a landscape and portrait artist from a home studio in biggin Hill.
